Certified Equipment Manager Exam & Study Course, by the Association of Equipment Management Professionals
The Certified Equipment Manager (CEM) designation is the only recognized standard for judging the qualifications of a manager of heavy off-road equipment or manager of municipal/government fleets. It is an attainable goal for equipment managers who want to be identified as exceptional. To achieve this goal, it takes personal motivation and depends on dedication to professionalism.
A Certified Equipment Manager is an equipment manager who possesses a mastery of the following 16 areas: Benchmarking; Employee training; Environmental requirements as they apply to fleet management; Financial management or governmental financial management; Human resources; Life cycle analysis; Negotiations; Outsourcing; Parts management; Preventive maintenance; Risk management; Safety; Shop/facilities management; Specifications; Technology; and Warranty and Performance guarantees.
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 is the only place outside of AEMP meetings to obtain the prestigious credential.
