| Construction Challenge Career Essay Winner Announced! |

Participants of the Construction Challenge who are planning for a career in the construction industry were given an opportunity to submit a 750 word essay, for a chance to win a $5,000 scholarship toward future education. Five finalists were selected, based on their interest and enthusiasm to succeed in the construction industry. Please read the inspiring essay's below. The winner was announced on Tuesday, March 11, at the CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 and IFPE 2008 opening ceremonies.

In my opinion, the construction industry also offers one of the most rewarding aspects of a job and that is being able to see your idea become a reality. I can not imagine how rewarding it must feel to design a piece of machinery or a new material, and be able to think of how it has helped the construction industry.
